Objective
Be the first person to score the highest points by rolling specific combinations of dice.
How to Play Yahtzee
Yahtzee is a classic dice game that never gets old. On your turn your roll five dice, aiming to make different combinations; like three of a kind, a full house, or even a Yahtzee (five of a kind). People often wonder, do you roll 2 or 3 times in Yahtzee?
You have three rolls, and then you must choose a category to score in, which makes every roll count. It’s all about strategy and a bit of luck and points. So for 4 of a kind, it’s not wise to put four 1’s in that box, as that total score is 4, but if you had four 4’s, you would have 16 points.
This is one of my all-time favourite dice games because it’s easy to learn, quick, and has that surprise element each time of what you’ll roll and choose.
