How to play zombie dice, dice game.

Zombie Dice

  • Players: 2+
  • Play Time: 10–15 minutes
  • Age Rating: 10+

The ultimate “push-your-luck” game for travelers.

At a Glance

  • The Vibe: Fast-paced, spooky, and silly.

  • The Goal: Be the first to collect 13 brains.

  • Why Families Love It: It’s small enough to fit in a pocket and takes 30 seconds to explain.

Pro Tip: Keep an eye on the dice colors. Red dice have more shotguns, while Green dice are loaded with brains!

How to Play Zombie Dice

Setup

1. The Brain Bucket: Put all 13 dice into the cup. 2. Scoring: Grab a pen and paper to keep track of everyone’s “Brain” count. 3. The First Zombie: The winner of the last game goes first, or whoever can say “Braaaaains!” with the most “life.”

On Your Turn

1. Draw and Roll: Shake the cup and take out three dice without looking. Roll them. 2. Sort Your Symbols:

  • Brains (Left Side): You successfully ate a brain! These are worth 1 point each if you stop.

  • Shotguns (Right Side): The human fought back. If you hit 3 Shotguns, your turn ends immediately and you score zero for that round.

  • Footprints (Middle): The victim ran away. If you roll again, you must re-roll these specific dice.

3. The Decision:

  • Stop: End your turn. Count your Brains, add them to your total score, and pass the cup.

  • Keep Rolling: Leave any Footprints on the table. Pick enough new dice from the cup to bring your hand back up to three and roll again.

    • Note: Once you take new dice from the cup, you must roll. You cannot change your mind and stop.

The Dice Colors (Difficulty)

The color of the die tells you how likely the human is to fight back or escape:

  • Green (3 dice): Easiest. Has 3 Brains and only 1 Shotgun.

  • Yellow (4 dice): Medium. Has 2 Brains and 2 Shotguns.

  • Red (3 dice): Toughest. Has only 1 Brain and 3 Shotguns.

Running Out of Dice

If the cup is empty but you want to keep rolling:

  1. Write down how many Brains you currently have.

  2. Put those Brain dice back into the cup.

  3. Keep your Shotguns on the table—you don’t get a fresh start on your health!

  4. Draw from the cup and continue your turn.

Winning the Game

The Race to 13: Play continues until someone reaches 13 Brains. The Final Round: Once a player hits 13, everyone else gets one final turn to try and beat that score.

The Winner: The zombie with the most Brains at the end of the round wins. If there is a tie, the leaders play a one-round “tiebreaker” match.

  • Age Rating: 8+

At a Glance

How To Play Camel Up

How the Camels Move

The most famous mechanic in Camel Up is the Camel Stack:

  • Piggybacking: If a camel moves to a space already occupied by other camels, it lands on top of them.

  • Carrying: When a camel at the bottom or middle of a stack moves, it carries all camels above it with it.

  • Who is Ahead? In a stack, the camel on top is considered “farther ahead” than the camels beneath it.

Playing the Game

The race is divided into Legs. A Leg ends when all 5 dice have been rolled from the pyramid. On your turn, you must take exactly one of the following four actions:

1. Take a Leg Betting Tile

Take the top tile of a specific color if you think that camel will be in 1st place at the end of the current leg.

  • 1st Place: You win the amount shown (5, 3, or 2 EP).

  • 2nd Place: You win 1 EP regardless of the tile’s number.

  • 3rd or Lower: You lose 1 EP.

2. Place Your Desert Tile

Place your tile on an empty space on the track (it cannot be adjacent to another player’s tile). Choose a side:

  • Oasis (+1): A camel landing here moves forward 1 space and lands on top of any stack. You get 1 EP.

  • Mirage (-1): A camel landing here moves backward 1 space and lands underneath any stack. You get 1 EP.

3. Take a Pyramid Tile (Roll the Dice)

Take a Pyramid Tile (worth 1 EP at the end of the leg). Then, shake the pyramid and release one die. Move the camel of that color the number of spaces shown (1–3).

4. Bet on the Overall Winner or Loser

Place one of your Betting Cards face down on either the “Overall Winner” or “Overall Loser” spot. You cannot change this later. The earlier you bet correctly, the more money you win (up to 8 EP).

Scoring and Winning

  • End of a Leg: When the last die is rolled, players collect money from their Betting Tiles and Pyramid Tiles. All dice go back into the pyramid, and all Leg Betting Tiles are returned to the board.

  • End of the Game: The game ends immediately when the first camel crosses the finish line.

  • Final Payout: Perform the final Leg scoring, then reveal the Overall Winner and Loser bets.

  • The Winner: The player wi

Strike - Easy Dice Games

  • Players: 2–5
  • Play Time: 15 minutes
  • Age Rating: 8+

The “Arena” game that anyone can play.

At a Glance

  • The Vibe: Loud, physical, and incredibly addictive.

  • The Goal: Be the last player with dice in your hand.

  • Why Families Love It: There are almost no rules—just throw and match!

How to Play Strike

Setup

1. Prepare the Arena: Place the game box (with the foam mat inside) in the center of the table. 2. Distribute Dice: Each player takes a starting pool based on the player count:

  • 2 Players: 8 dice each

  • 3 Players: 7 dice each

  • 4 Players: 6 dice each

  • 5 Players: 5 dice each 3. The Seed Die: Roll one extra die into the arena to start. If it shows an “X”, reroll it until it shows a number.

How to Play

Starting with the oldest player, you must roll one die into the arena. You can throw it however you like—aiming to hit other dice to change their faces is encouraged!

After every throw, check for these three things:

  • The “X” (The Void): Any die showing an “X” is removed from the game permanently.

  • Matches: If two or more dice show the same number, take all matching dice and add them back to your personal pool. Your turn then ends.

  • No Matches: If all dice show different numbers, you have a choice:

    1. Stop: End your turn and pass to the next player.

    2. Risk it: Throw another die to try and create a match. If you fail again, the same choice applies until you match or run out of dice.

Special Rules

Out of Bounds: Any die that bounces out of the arena or misses it entirely is removed from the game immediately.

The “All In” Rule: If the arena is empty at the start of your turn (because the previous player took all the matches), you must throw all of your remaining dice into the arena at once. Check for “X’s” and matches as usual.

Elimination: If you run out of dice at the end of a turn, you are eliminated from the game.

Tips & Tricks

  • Physics: You can rotate the arena or gently shift it if a die is leaning against a wall to make it lay flat.

  • House Rules: Players should decide before starting if they want to keep their dice counts hidden or visible to everyone.

  • Aiming: You are allowed to move dice away from the walls before your throw (with group consent), but you can never change the face of a die manually.

Winning the Game

The game ends immediately when only one player has dice remaining. That player is the Strike Champion!

Bang! The Dice Game - Easy Dice Games for the Family

Bang! The Dice Game

  • Players: 3–8
  • Play Time: 15–20 minutes
  • Age Rating: 8+

A Wild West shootout with hidden identities.

At a Glance

  • The Vibe: Social, strategic, and slightly competitive.

  • The Goal: Complete your secret role’s objective (The Sheriff wants the Outlaws gone!).

  • Why Families Love It: It’s like a “Who-Dunn-It” mystery mixed with dice rolling.

Why it fits the brief: It’s a great “intro” to strategy games for kids (8+) because the dice dictate your choices, but you decide who to target.

How to Play Bang! The Dice Game

The Setup

1. Assign Roles: Each player is given a face-down role card.

  • Sheriff (1): Must eliminate all Outlaws and the Renegade. Reveals their card immediately.

  • Outlaws (2–3): Must eliminate the Sheriff.

  • Deputies (1–2): Must protect the Sheriff.

  • Renegade (1): Must be the last player standing. 2. Choose Characters: Each player takes a face-up Character card. This provides a unique special ability and your starting Life Points (bullets). 3. Starting Bullets: The Sheriff takes two extra bullets in addition to their character’s total. 4. The Arrows: Place the 9 Arrow tokens in a pile in the center.

The Gameplay Loop

Starting with the Sheriff, players take turns in clockwise order. On your turn, you follow these steps:

1. Roll the Dice: Roll all five dice. 2. Re-roll: You may choose to re-roll any or all of your dice up to two more times (maximum of 3 rolls).

  • Exception: You cannot re-roll Dynamite results.

  • Immediate Action: If you roll an Arrow, you must take an arrow from the central pile immediately, even before you finish your re-rolls. 3. Resolve Results: After your final roll, resolve the dice in order.

Understanding the Dice Symbols

  • Indian Arrow: Take one arrow from the pile. If you take the last arrow, the Indians attack! Every player loses 1 HP for every arrow they currently hold. Then, all arrows are returned to the pile.

  • Dynamite: Cannot be re-rolled. If you roll three or more Dynamite during your turn, your turn ends immediately and you lose 1 HP.

  • Bull’s Eye 1: Deal 1 damage to a player sitting exactly 1 space away (to your left or right).

  • Bull’s Eye 2: Deal 1 damage to a player sitting exactly 2 spaces away.

  • Beer: Choose any player (including yourself) to gain 1 HP. You cannot exceed your starting maximum.

  • Gatling (3+): If you roll three or more Gatling symbols, every other player loses 1 HP, and you get to discard all of your own arrows.

Elimination & Winning

When a player loses all HP: They are eliminated and must reveal their role.

The game ends immediately when:

  • The Sheriff is killed: If the Renegade is the only one alive, the Renegade wins. Otherwise, the Outlaws win.

  • All Outlaws and Renegades are killed: The Sheriff and Deputies win.

Tip: In 3-player games, roles are revealed from the start, and each player has a specific target (Deputy hunts Renegade, Renegade hunts Outlaw, Outlaw hunts Deputy).
